And do you know how many I've caught?
One.
Almost.
It jumped out at me and I almost caught it in my mouth!
There's a fine art to this crawdad fishing lark. Mum has captured some of my best techniques on this video she made.
The fun's all in the hunt, anyway, and boy, did I have fun!

What fun Ruby! Looks like you are good at it too so we know you will get one next time.

Sounds like you had a fun, yet exhausting week. Keep having fun...

Hi Ruby!
That looked fun really! Mommy enjoyed watching the video, too! Worry not, you will get lots next time and you'd have more fun.

LOVE THAT! Looks like you had a great time. I'm incredibly jealous of Ruby's creek-time. I tried to fountain jump in front of the Four Season Restaurant on Park Avenue yesterday and Mom wouldn't allow it! Some people just don't get it!
Enjoy your creektime - and as for the crawdads - do you eat the heads?
Apparently they're really tasted cooked, but Mum showed me a dead one and I didn't like it.
You are a mighty hunter and one with a lot of patience and doesn't give up furry easily!
I'm sure with that technique of yours you'll be catching one in no time!
Ohhh my dad would love that creek!!! Better luck next time, your one lucky dog!!!
lotsa licks,
Miley
You are soooo right the fun is in the hunt!!!

Romping in the shallows chasing fish looks like a lot of fun, Ruby!
I'd be right there with ya!
Your pal,

Well it sure looks like fun. I don't think that we have them crawdad things in our lake. We have lots of little fishes that all the big fishes eat up. They occassionally jump into the air and splash back into the lake which always catches our attention. What are y'all gonna do when you catch one of those crawdaddy thingies? OBTW: Our dad was out in Arizona last week for work looking at airplane storage and he said it was a bit on the warm side at the place called Tucson.

That's just too much work! Hop on a jet plane and go down to Nu Orlins.
Those Cajuns make a mean crawfish dish called "ate-two-day"...yum, yum, yum, yum, yum!!!

Bailey has a similar style when she hunts for frogs. I like the leap when you spot one.
OH Ruby! It looks like you're getting so close.. Never give up Ruby, never give up! ;)
P.S. Ruby, your Dad's song went so well with your creek play!
