I stink!
Mum said so.
And it's all because of that tricky little black and white critter they call Pepé le Pew, who hangs out down by the creek.
I had to get doused in this stuff.
The stink didn't go away. That was Thursday.
Since then, Mum has washed me at least 10 times* with all of this stuff.
I've had to sleep outside every night.**
I'm almost going bald from all the bathing.
(But I'm still quite glamorous, aren't I?)

8 baths! And you still stink!? That's sad. Those skunks sure try to make themselves known.....
Hoping that you smell better soon:)
Sadly, the stink will come back during humid weather for months. If this was my pooch, I'd stop the bathing for a while and let the coat dry really, really well. Any moisture whatsoever is gonna bring about that lovely odor again.
Poor baby...
Ruby does tend to exaggerate a bit! We've actually only bathed her twice, but yes, we've got humid weather at the moment, and it's hard to keep her out of the creek. The most effective mixture so far has been lemon juice, peroxide, dish detergent and baking soda. And Ruby's back sleeping on the bed, so don't be feeling too sorry for her! The hardest part has been the fact that she was sprayed on the muzzle, and obviously swallowed some. She threw up the first night.
Ruby...You may still stink, but you are very handsome!
Blessings, andrea
Uh...Oh...Ruby...Stay away from them black and white kitties!!

Oh boy - I was jealous of your creek - but happy we don't have skunks in Central Park! Even without the skunks I still had to have a bath today - apparently puddle diving and rolling in mud is not acceptable for "some" big city apartment dwellers.
Thanks for adding the link to our etsy shop!

Oh Ruby...we are sorry for you!
Thank doGness we don't have skunks here because we are sure that we would have the same problem as you. I mean...if there are intruders around you have to eliminate them! Right?!
I don't know what to suggest, buddy. Perhaps hanging around looking sorry for yourself will help to change Mom's mind about you being in the house. Poor baby!
Lots of licks

Hi there! I posted a blog entry on my golden getting skunked:
http://www.augiedoggy.com/apps/blog/show/1926420-pepe-le-pew
and someone alerted me to this blog entry. Isn't skunk the worst smell ever?? Poor Ti had to get three baths! And today I got the carpets cleaned and deodorized, for good measure. Hopefully Ruby is smelling fine by now!
